Arbaria

Grape variety: Zibibbo
Training system:
Bush – Trained
Growing area:
Pantelleria
Denomination:
Passito di Pantelleria DOP

The goddess Tanit replaced ambrosia with sweet zibibbo grape juice to seduce Apollo.
Today, as in the past, the zibibbo grapes, partially dried naturally in the sun , are used to make Arbaria, a sipping wine that is velvety smooth, aromatic and sweet.

It gently accompanies marbled and spicy cheeses and traditional Sicilian almond sweets and cassata (typical Sicilian pastry). Preferably served in medium tulip glasses at a temperature of 10-12°C, it will charm the palate of anyone who drinks it.

A mano libera

Grape variety: Zibibbo
Training system:
Bush – Trained
Growing area:
Pantelleria
Denomination:
Pantelleria DOP bianco frizzante

In any terrace surrounded by stone walls and planted with Zibibbo, man has always tried to make the most productive the vineyards. In this regard, close to walls, near the caper plants, some small pergolas of white or red grapes were planted to make wine for personal use. All grapes were Sicilian. The farmers were very jealous of this production that associated with the second late vintage of the Zibibbo, around the fourth week of September, were used to produce a particular wine.

This wine were a bit sparkling. By observing this tradition we had the idea to produce a wine from late Zibibbo grapes, with a slow fermentation, whose light carbonation enhanced the typical aromatic freshness of the grape.

This wine has an alcohol content of 12°, a good acidity and a delicate scent of fresh white fruit. The slight perlage and delicate flavor make it a pleasant and persistent wine to pair with any meal, as an aperitif, and in all the moments of liveliness.

A’mmare

Grape variety: Zibibbo
Training system:
Bush – Trained
Growing area:
Pantelleria
Denomination:
Pantelleria DOP bianco

A’mmare comes from a family vineyard in Campobello di Pantelleria; a small plot of land enclosed by low walls about 30 meters above sea level, very close to the water’s edge. The vineyard gets from the sea the little, sometimes salty, frost that keeps it alive. In these conditions, the grapes ripen very early, some years even at the end of July.

We selected the grapes harvested during the first half of August with an advanced ripening, vinified them and let them sit in stainless steel silos for some years.

The result is a wine with great alcoholic content, an aromatic bouquet and an incomparable sapidity due to the conditions in which the vine grows. Elegant, powerful, unique. Its strong yellow colour and the unmistakeable bouquet make it a great wine to enjoy in company.
